This handy how-to could save you $75 or more in a service call...
It took me only 45 minutes and some hot water to fix my Fridgidaire refrigerator that was leaking water all over the top shelf from the freezer. It turns out that the drain hole in the back of the freezer was plugged with ice build-up. If you have a problem similar to mine, check the drain first! It's not hard and you do not have to fully defrost your fridge.
All I did was:
1. clear out the freezer
2. unscrew and remove the bottom tray in the freezer
3. carefully remove all ice build-up
4. use a turkey baster with very hot water and squirt it in the condensation drain hole
5. you will need to do step 4. a few times, using the turkey baster to remove water that has cooled first before squirting more hot water.
